“Removing Roadblocks on Your Path to Success”

This month: School’s Not Completely Out for Summer

School may be out for summer, but my kids refuse to let me take their report cards off of the refrigerator. They did great in school this past year, yet my youngest keeps talking about how next year he wants get nothing but O’s for Outstanding on every line.

Are you striving to make your business as great as it can be?

Though my schooldays are long behind me, I’ve found that creating a regular report card for your business can be a highly effective tool for taking an honest look at your company’s strengths and weaknesses, and setting focused and measurable goals for performance. The Balanced Scorecard method is a report card for your business. It’s a structured measurement system that’s not hard to implement and can help expose opportunities that have been sitting right under your nose.

The Balanced Scorecard is an excellent management tool, and is often one of the first tools we deploy to help new clients assess their business. We’ve recently provided an overview of how to get started with scorecards on our blog: http://www.pcg-services.com/using-a-balanced-scorecard-to-measure-your-key-performance-indicators/.

Consider using the Balanced Scorecard for your own business. It can be a great tool for helping you achieve your strategic goals – and may even win a coveted space on the refrigerator door!
