Michelle Gu
Assistant Controller

She then moved into construction, working for a general contractor operating across multiple entities, including rental, specialty work, and manufacturing. Managing several sets of books instead of one sparked her curiosity about how different business and revenue models work, and that curiosity led her to Pacific Crest Group, where she now serves as Assistant Controller.
Michelle loves getting to know a client’s current processes and then using her experience to find opportunities for greater efficiency. Whether it’s implementing new technology, building a stronger revenue model, cutting unnecessary expenses, or streamlining the back end, she helps clients run healthier, more efficient businesses from an accounting perspective.
Outside of work, Michelle needs to get into nature. She hikes every weekend and says the woods are her fast charger. In fact, the Pacific Crest name was part of what drew her here; she hoped it meant a team of accountants who love the outdoors, and she was right.
