Congratulations to Veronica (unicorn) and Emily (Little Donut) on winning 1st and 2nd place this year!

We also celebrated a couple of our employee birthdays!  Happy birthday Jehanne and Emily! May all your wishes come true.

Ike’s Anniversary Party

Today, we honored the anniversary of one of our employees, and it’s a big one. Ike has been working tirelessly at Pacific Crest Group for the past 10 years and we had to celebrate in style… with pizza!

PCG Relaxes at Marin Art and Garden Center

During the summer, MAGC has an outdoor concert series and, because we love MAGC and all of our clients, we attend as many of these beautiful concerts as possible.
We also had a reason to celebrate. One of our employees (Jamie) came back to work full-time at Pacific Crest Group, and we’re excited to have her back on the team.

Summer Lovin’

Let’s start with some major milestones for our employees: congratulations to Veronica and Kayal!
Both Veronica and Kayla will be celebrating their work anniversaries this month, Veronica with 4 years working for Pacific Crest Group and Kayal with 3 years! Since starting at PCG, they have brought tremendous levels of energy and dedication to our team and have repeatedly shown their commitment to PCG’s values with clients and their team members.
We’re also excited to announce our latest hire, Heather Groninger. Heather is the new Director of HR at PCG and oversees the HR needs and corresponding strategy for our clients and our team. Heather has over 15 years of experience directing HR strategy with organizations around the SF Bay Area, including a variety of businesses and nonprofit organizations. Heather’s expansive experience makes her perfect for overseeing the HR strategies of our clients and we are looking forward to the insights that her HR expertise will provide.

Cinco de Mayo

Once again “Cinco de Mayo” came and went. For those of you who don’t know, “Cinco” isn’t just a day for us to crack open Corona’s and enjoy chips and salsa, it’s also PCG’s birthday.

In true birthday fashion, we invited all of our closest friends, clients, and family, and enjoyed some food, margaritas, and festivities in the Bay Area. This was one of our larger parties and we’re excited to continue to see this grow every year.

April Showers Bring New Hires

Every month we have something new to celebrate. Last month it was the engagement of one of our employees, and this month it’s a new hire! We’re happy to welcome Justin Logan to our HR department! Justin brings over 10 years of HR experience to PCG and a depth of knowledge in employee relations, talent acquisition, and interviewing experience. We’re really excited and we know our clients will get a huge value from his past experience.

We’re also happy to welcome back Kayla Acosta and Jamie Sundeen back from their maternity leaves. They’ll bring back a much missed 1-2 punch to our company. Expect lots of cute baby photos in the near future.

“Put a Ring On it”

What better way to celebrate February than with Carolyn’s bridal shower. We started the party with some local sushi and highlighted the event a TP designed wedding gown contest between Ryan and Emily.

New faces in familiar places

This month we’re excited to announce some new additions to the PCG family! Semhar Tekleab comes to us after having worked on various assignments in a number of different industries over the last year with a Temp Agency. Prior to moving to the United States, she worked for Strategic Initiative for Women in the Horn of Africa — a not-for-profit organization (or network of organizations) dedicated to strengthening women’s rights, and addressing issues such as violence against women and girls in the Horn of Africa. — Semhar has had the opportunity to gain experience with QuickBooks and Bill.com in her temporary assignments.

Also new to the team, Emily Yepez comes to us after having worked in the finance department at two different auto dealerships (Audi Concord and Mercedes Benz of Marin), and prior to that as a bank teller.

We’re also sad to say farewell to Carolynn Petitt. She was the second member of our HR department, hired back in 2010, and helped us grow the department to a team of 5 internal employees servicing more than 30 clients. We are so appreciative of all Carolyn has done for PCG during her tenure here and wish her the best as she now looks to pursue a career specific to benefits.
